The Central Marching Rebels are back at it making Rebel history! Last year they made finals for the first time ever as they competed in the Bi-State Marching Festival hosted at Potosi. This year they did it again but at a greater success!

During the heart of marching season, the Marching Rebels took a four- hour trip to Missouri State University, located in Springfield. Once they arrived and put their uniforms on, they were ready to take the field.

When the preliminary awards began, the band members sat there anxiously waiting to hear the results. The Rebels kept hearing the same band being called over and over while the judges handed out the caption awards for their class. Little did they know, they were in 2nd place in all the caption awards!

Then came the placements for overall scores.  The band members bursted out with cheers of excitement when Central was announced in 2nd place! The top two places in each class made it to finals. “I was so proud of our band and what we had just accomplished!” Director Brad Glore exclaimed.

Finals came and they performed, but finals got cancelled due to the incoming storm. Scores will not be released because every band was not able to perform. Everyone evacuated the stadium and headed home or to their hotels.
