Rebel Pride: Homecoming 2020
October 25, 2020
Homecoming looked a little different this year, due to COVID-19. However It hasn’t changed the pride and joy students carry for the school. Student Council, cheerleaders, football players, band members, Rebel Rousers and Queen and King candidates took their time to put together a virtual pep rally for students. Student council also organized a spirit week with days like, PJ Day, High School Musical Day, Camo Day, Toy Story Day, and Red, White and Blue Day.
Movies were also shown before going home to prepare for one of the biggest game of the season. Later that day, Main sStreet became a place for the candidates to line up their cars that were decorated with a movie theme of their choice to be judged and announced at coronation. Ava Eden was in first place with the theme Jaws. Following Ava was Emma Watson with Ghost Busters. And finally Maddi Pigg took third with her Cinderella float
“I was so nervous the entire time I was standing out on the field. When they said my name I almost started crying I was so excited!” commented Homecoming Queen Ava Eden. “My favorite part of the night was getting crowned Queen with one of my best friends as the King! I also really enjoyed taking pictures with everyone after coronation. And I loved seeing all of the other candidates dressed up, looking beautiful. 2020 Homecoming was an experience that I will never forget!”
