Taylor Ssssswift is right back where she belongs–at the top of the charts. Her newest album Reputation, released on November 10, 2017, was named the top-selling album of the year–after only its first eight days upon release.
Rightfully so, the long-awaited album has a big reputation. Its 14 tracks range from soft, acoustic sentiments to hip hop collaborations. The album has a different sound than anything Swift has done before and touches on both meaningful relationships and broken reputations.
The ten-time Grammy award winner has taken the backlash, rumors, and criticism she’s received throughout the years (and especially recently) and used them to her advantage by doing what she does best: writing songs. The outpouring of her emotions turned into an array of catchy lyrics. The old Taylor may be dead, but her songwriting skills aren’t.
If you haven’t yet listened to Reputation yet, it is available on all streaming services. I can try to speak for the album, but I think it does a better job itself. Just take my word: you won’t be disappointed.
