There was a time

           When I felt broken

All there was left was silence

I didn’t know where to go,

What to do,

All but to stay silent

My smile was hidden,

I was forbidden of happiness

With a lock and chain wrapped tight around the heart,

My soul was empty

Like a dark hole,

Full of emotions that were not to be felt,

Until happy once again

Once I became healed,

Became someone I forgot even existed,

The lock and chain

Vanished into the light

That shone once again,

Because of happiness,

Because of emotions felt once more
