The 2012 Central Rebel softball team had a very successful season. They put in a lot of hard work and came out on the top. “The girls won the conference by three games with a record of 9-1” Coach Bradley said. In that conference, they beat Farmington twice, North County once, Fredericktown twice, Ste. Genevieve twice, and Potosi twice. They received second in the Conference Tournament beating Farmington in the Semi-Finals and losing to Ste. Genevieve in the championship game. Even though they lost, they kept fighting for what meant more to them, that would be the District Title. They were seated first, so they got a bye in the first round, knocked out Perryville in the Semi-Finals, and beat the defending champs, Cape Notre Dame, in the championship game with a score of 2-1.

My dad encouraged me to do softball back in the fifth grade. Honestly, with all of his encouragement to play this sport, he has changed my life forever. No words could explain how much I appreciate him for that. I’ve had the time of my life playing softball.” Says Megan Jacobs when asked about who encouraged her to play softball.

After winning that game they were all so happy that they just tackled each other to the ground. Every year they have an All- Conference and All-District nomination. The people who received All-Conference are: Georgia Richardson, Hanna Stam, Morgin Reece, Olivia Casey, and Ally Welch. The All-District includes: Georgia Richardson, Hanna Stam, Morgin Reece, Olivia Casey, and Alli Welch. Congratulations to all the girls who received those honors. After winning districts, the girls went on to play for sectionals against Festus in Festus. The girls battled hard the whole game but came up short and lost 8-3.
