How to Survive Your Freshman Year

Coming into high school as a freshman can be hard and scary. Walking the halls of a new school on your first day might be confusing. Don’t be afraid of asking for help or asking questions. The upperclassman will not stuff you in a locker, put you in a trash can, or make you do their work. These tips will help you survive your freshman year and help you make friends along the way.
- Don’t procrastinate or you will get behind.
- Being friendly with everyone is the way to make friends.
- Get involved in activities, clubs, and sports.
- Study and go to PASS. You can get extra help, finish homework, and make up tests in PASS.
- Be yourself and be original.
- Don’t give in to peer pressure.
- Stay out of the drama.
- Go to your counselor if you need to talk about anything; they’ll always be there to listen.
- Get organized so you don’t lose your things.
