Central Robotics Team “Zaps” The Competiton

On April 1st, Central High School’s Robotics team went to competition against several different teams. The team members–Tyler Clark, Jacob Bannister, Shelby Jones, Gina Bannister, and Jared Sprous– have spent countless hours preparing the team and their robots. It paid off! They competed very well in the qualifying rounds. The team won a few rounds and they continued to make adjustments as they went to better their robot.

The team was very proud with how the competition went, however, they are still looking to better themselves next year. They are looking into new metals and gears to use on their robot for the next competition. The team is very thankful for all those who helped them this year. Mr. Nichols from UniTec was one of their biggest supporters this year by giving them all the help they needed. Mr. Logan said, “His help and guidance was invaluable this season. I really appreciated the time he spent to discuss the design and coding process with the team.” Mr. Logan and Mr. Pallo are responsible for leading the team this year, and they couldn’t have done a better job. Next time you see someone from this team in school, take a moment to congratulate them on their amazing season. They certainly deserve it!
