With a new year comes new people, and that includes new teachers to our school, like Miss Friend. She graduated from Central High School and got her degrees at Three Rivers Community College, Harding University, and Central Methodist University. Returning to her alma mater, she went from teaching middle school math, to a high school dual-credit math course this year. She is the assistant softball coach. Miss Friend played softball from 4th grade through college. She said, “I love every minute of it!”

If Miss Friend wasn’t a math teacher, she said she would like to be an engineer. She said the reason she teaches math is because, “I like teaching and helping people, and math has always interested me because there are many ways to come up with a solution, just like in life.”
